Hope Great has signed a supply contract for FSB (Flexible Secondary Barrier Material) of three 175,000-cubic-meter LNG carriers with Dalian Shipbuilding Factory.

      On February 5, 2025, the eighth day of the Year of the Snake in the Chinese Lunar Calendar, after the signing of the preliminary technical agreement, bidding evaluation and approval of the shipowner COSCO Offshore Energy, Hope Great formally signed the supply contract of FSB for the three large-scale LNG carriers of Mark III Flex under the patented system of GTT of 3 bows of 175,000 m3 with Dalian Shipbuilding Institute (DSIC).

      The three-bowed Mark III Flex 175,000 cbm LNG carrier is independently developed by Dalian Shipbuilding, with a total cargo hold capacity of 175,000 cubic meters, adopting GTT's patented Mark III Flex cargo enclosure system, with four cargo holds, the liquid cargo system is only used for the transportation of LNG cargo, and is also equipped with a re-liquefaction system; it will be fitted with two sets of WinGD LNG dual fuel Two WinGD LNG dual-fuel low-speed main engines with integrated iCER system will be installed, which can meet the most stringent IMO emission standards in both fuel oil and gas modes while reducing oil and gas consumption; the newly optimized double transom configuration with high-efficiency propellers and high-efficiency twisted rudders with rudder balls further improves the hydrodynamic performance and enhances the safety and redundancy of the propulsion system; the vessel can berth at the majority of the world's large-scale LNG terminals, which provides excellent portability and shore-to-shore compatibility. It can dock at most of the large LNG shore stations in the world, providing excellent portability and ship-to-shore compatibility; equipped with four dual-fuel generators, the optimized design can cover the ship's power load demand under different working conditions. The vessel is classed by DNV and CCS, and the ship numbers are G175K-9, G175K-10 and G175K-11 respectively.
