Hope Great successfully won the bidding of Hudong-Zhonghua Shipyard two 18,600 cubic meters LNG refueling vessels flexible secondary barrier support.

       On February 11, 2025 Hope Great. successfully won the bidding for the FSB supporting for two 18,600 cubic meters LNG refueling vessels of Hudong-Zhonghua Shipyard, and signed the contract.

      In the third quarter of 2024 Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding placed an order for the design and construction of the liquid cargo tanks of two new liquefied natural gas (LNG) refueling vessels for Ondimar Transportes Marítimos (Ondimar Maritime Shipping), a subsidiary of Spain's Lbaizabal Group (Lbaizabal Group). The contract for the construction of the LNG refueling vessels was announced in July 2024 and is of special significance as it is the 100th LNG vessel undertaken by Hudong-Zhonghua. The vessel is 135.9 meters in length and 24.5 meters in breadth and is scheduled for delivery at the end of 2026. The vessel has a liquid cargo tank capacity of 18,600 cubic meters and features the GTT-developed Mark III Flex membrane envelope system, which GTT says offers significant performance improvements with an LNG evaporation rate of 0.16% and reduced CO2 emissions.

 

 

      The FSB for the LNG carrier that is the subject of the contractual delivery, is produced by Total Energy's HUTCHINSON plant in France:
