    On March 4, 2025, Hope Great(Shenzhen) Tech Co.,Ltd. received the commemorative certificate for the participation in research and construction of China's deep-sea multifunctional scientific exploration and cultural relics archaeological ship "Explorer III" issued by GSI, the largest shipbuilding company in southern China. This certificate is a recognition of Hope Great localization research and development support, and also a great encouragement to Hope Great localization team.

"Explorer III" Profile:

 

 

    The "Explorer III" research vessel is jointly funded by the People's Government of Hainan Province, Sanya Yazhou Bay Sci-Tech City Development&Construction Co., Ltd., and the Institute of Deep-sea Science and Engineering,Chinese Academy of Sciences, with support from the research and development funds of National Key R&D Program(NO.145) the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Strategic Priority Research Program of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

    Key Parameters: The vessel is approximately 104 m in length with a displacement of about 10,000 tons. It has a maximum speed of 16 knots, featuring bidirectional ice-breaking capability at both the bow and stern, and its ice-strengthening classification reaches PC4 level. The vessel has an endurance of 15,000 nautical miles and can accommodate 80 personnel.

    Construction and delivery: Construction will begin on June 25, 2023, dock on April 20, 2024, officially delivered and set sail on December 26, and arrive at the Nanshan Port Public Science and Technology Research Pier in Yazhou Bay Science and Technology City, Sanya on December 29, officially entering service.

    Technological Innovation: Key Technological Breakthroughs: Significant breakthroughs have been achieved in major key technologies such as Ice breaking line design, overall arrangement of polar research vessels, design of polar ice and heavy-load structures, low-temperature cold protection design, and the layout and recovery of scientific research equipment.

    Domestically produced equipment installation: For the first time, we have completed the research and installation of a full range of polar operation and scientific research control equipment, the largest domestic watertight scientific research lunar pool system equipment, deep-sea acoustic detection, communication and positioning equipment in ice areas, ship dynamic positioning systems and other domestically produced technologies.

    Intelligent ship markings: Obtained intelligent energy efficiency, intelligent navigation, intelligent engine room, intelligent platform and other intelligent ship additional markings from classification societies, and constructed a scientific research information system and a ship shore collaborative management system based on big data.

    Functional Features: Multi-functional for Scientific Exploration and Archaeology: Capable of conducting deep-sea scientific exploration, cultural relics archaeology, and polar region scientific exploration during the summer. It features unrestricted water navigation, manned deep-sea diving, deep-sea detection, comprehensive operational support, and heavy safety payload.

    Polar operation support: It can support the storage, maintenance, transmission, deployment and recovery, underwater positioning, underwater communication and control of large equipment such as polar manned submersibles. Remote Operated Vehicles (ROVs) can be deployed and recovered through the indoor moon pool with a large opening size.

    Environmental protection capability: It can effectively control the discharge of pollutants such as sulfides, nitrogen oxides, noise, toxic and harmful substances, and protect the polar ecological environment.

    Cultural characteristics: Rich in appearance colors: Inheriting the "Explorer I" traffic blue and "Explorer II" fluorescent green, and adding traffic orange and traffic purple, the colors are bright and colorful.

    The cabin has a strong cultural atmosphere: there are exhibitions such as "Awakening - Underwater Archaeology Theme Exhibition", "Human Exploration of Polar Science Popularization Exhibition", "Illustration Exhibition of Living Cabin Marine Equipment", etc., creating a "Mini Science Popularization and Art Museum for Maritime Mobility".

    Task plan: In the first half of 2025, carry out routine scientific research operations, deep-sea equipment sea trials, and deep-sea archaeology in the South China Sea aboard the manned submersible "SHEN HAI YONG SHI".

    In the second half of 2025, manned deep-sea diving operations will be conducted in the deep ocean.
